Wonders of Bulgaria

Day 1 - Arrival in Sofia. Transfer from the airport to hotel 4 or 5 stars. Free time for rest. Transfer to the village of Boyana for dinner in a typical Bulgarian restaurant with folk program "Nestinari dance" /The Nestinari dance is one of the most authentical rituals, that have started its origin in the area of our country before Christ. It is a dance where people dance on burning charcoals/ Overnight.
Day 2 - Breakfast. Departure to Rila monastery (included in UNESCO world heritage list), the biggest spiritual center, dating back to 10th c., with magnificent Renaissance wall paintings and a precious library. Free time to enjoy the majestic surrounding environment. Lunch in a nice cozy restaurant along a picturesque river. Departure for Melnik. This is the smallest town-museum in Bulgaria. You will stay at the impressive restored 18th century Lumparov’s house. Dinner in the house. Overnight in private hotels in Melnik.
Day 3 - Breakfast. Free time for a walk around beautiful Melnik. Departure for Rozhen monastery, which is another pearl of the Bulgarian Renaissance architecture of 17-18th century. In the afternoon departure for the village of Dolen in the Rhodope mountain, pass through the village of Kovachevica on the way. Dolen is a unique architectural and historical preserve. Archeologists have discovered here remains of old settlements dating II-IV century. A few Thracian sanctuaries are within walking distance form Dolen. The group will be accommodated at private hotels. Dinner in the house.
Day 4 - Breakfast. Departure for the village of Trigrad. Trigrad is a small village picturesquely nested on the rocks of the Rhodope mountain. Today you will visit the gorgeous Harmiyska cave with its wax statues of Prehistoric man and woman. Further on you will visit the Devil’s gorge cave. In this cave is the biggest cascade of waterfalls on the Balkan peninsula, with a total height of 60 m. In the afternoon you will have free time at leisure to meet distinctive Bulgarian people and hear the sounds of a traditional Bulgarian musical instrument called "gayda". Overnight in small family owned hotel in Trigrad. Dinner in hotel.
Day 5 - Breakfast. Departure for the town of Plovdiv. City tour of the old Plovdiv - a romantic experience along the cobblestone narrow streets, where tourists discover wonderful examples of our Revival’s architecture. Dinner in local restaurant in the old town. Overnight in Plovdiv, hotel 3*** in the old town.
Day 6 - Breakfast. Departure for the town of Kardjali. On the way you will have the unique opportunity to visit the ancient medieval fortress of Perpericon. Perpericon has been a large city, situated on a hill. It has originated as a settlement in the V-III centuries BC. Overnight in 3 star hotel in Kardjali. Dinner in hotel.
Day 7 - Breakfast. Departure for the famous Rose Valley and the town of Kazanluk. Today you will visit the Kazanluk Thracian Tomb in Tyulbeto Park. (For group at the end of May you can visit the Rose festival). For all other groups we will organize a unique show representing ancient ritual burial of a Thracian warrior. Overnight in hotel 3 star in Kazanluk. Dinner in hotel. Breakfast. Departure for the famous Rose Valley and the town of Kazanluk. Today you will visit the Kazanluk Thracian Tomb in Tyulbeto Park. Day 8 - Breakfast. Departure for Veliko Tarnovo, the ancient capital of Bulgaria. Seven thousand years of Bulgarian history have been stored within the hills, embraced by the meanders of the Yantra River. You will visit the Tsarevets hill where The first fortified town was built in the period between the 5th and 6th centuries. Free time in the afternoon. In the evening you will have the opportunity to see the famous "Lights and sounds" show from the Tsarvets peak. Accommodation in a small family owned hotel in the nearby ancient village of Arbanassy. Dinner in the Hotel.
Day 9 - Breakfast. Direct transfer to the airport.
