Days of stay: 4 days (3 nights in Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and Sofia)
Day 1 - Meeting the group at Kulata Customs. Departure for the Rila Monastery
Visit of the holy Bulgarian place, dating back in the 9th century, the Museum. Hrelyovata Tower. Dinner, night accommodation.
Day 2 - Breakfast. Visit of the Bachkovski Monastery of the Holy Mother, the second important Bulgarian monastery after the Rila Monastery, established in 1083. A sigh-seeing tour in Plovdiv (160 m above the sea level), which used to be a town-tower back in the times of Aleksander Makedonski (342 BC). Lunch. Departure for Veliko Tarnovo 220 km Northwest of Sofia (approx. 220m above the sea level). The town used to be a capital of the 2nd Bulgarian Kingdom. Nowadays a historical and cultural center. Accommodation at a hotel. Leisure time. Sleep.
Day 3 - Breakfast. A sight-seeing tour. Visit of Arbanasi 4 km away from Veliko Tarnovo, a famous Bulgarian Renaissance village, an architectural reserve cum museum.
Day 4 - Breakfast. A sigh-seeing tour in Sofia the capital of Bulgaria. Visit of the "World and people" Museum, the Art Gallery. Lunch. Leisure time. Dinner. Accommodation for the night.
Day 5 - Breakfast. Departure for Blagoevgrad. A short stay in the town center of a district in South-West Bulgaria. Visit of the "Varosha" Renaissance Quarter, the "Presentation of the blessed virgin" Church, built in the 19th century. (By request: visit of the Historical Museum). Lunch. Departure for the town of Sandanski. Stay in the Spartan town. Walk in the towns park. By request: visit of the town of Melnik the smallest town in Bulgaria. In the evening departure for Greece via the Kulata Customs.
Price: 225 EURO for groups of 25/30 tourists.
The price includes: Travelling expenses to and from Kulata Customs, board and lodging for 3 days, guide service, Insurance.
The price does not include: Drinks and museum entrance charges.
