Samokov - Borovets



Samokov is a 30,000 town in South Eastern Bulgaria with a climate suitable for pre-Olympic preparation and training of athletes in various sports. It is 82 km drive from the Bulgarian capital Sofia and 10 km from the famous resort Borovets. Borovets is the biggest international mountain resort in Bulgaria. It is the most prestigious, the largest and oldest upland resort and ski center in Bulgaria. It lies in the northern part of Rila Mountain at an altitude between 1150 and 1350 m above sea level.
