The main activities of Bulgarian Tourist Pool are:

• to establish operational team of experts including representatives from national sports and tourism authorities and organizations (Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Bulgarian Tourist Chamber, Bulgarian Association of Travel Agencies and Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association), which to coordinate the activities of the pool;
  
• to systemize and supply the members of the tourist pool with information for sports facilities of the country, which are up to the requirements for pre-Olympic preparation for Olympics 2004;
  
• to collect and systemize the information for hotels' base, appropriate for accommodation of sportsmen and pre-olympic preparation and acclimatization. Supplying sports federations with this information conformed to type of Olympics sports;
  
• to collect and supply of pool's members with on-going marketing information for received requests and declared interest from foreign teams for pre-olympic preparation;
  
• to assist in establishing business contacts with authorized Greek and foreigner tour operators, connected with tourists traveling of visitors of Olympics 2004, including organization of expedients tours;
  
• to assist in preparation of sport-tourists packages, in regard with marketing and specialize information collected in cooperation with Bulgarian Olympic Committee and sports federations;
  
• to assist in forming of tourists packages, offering cognitive-routes traveling in Bulgaria to visitors of Olympics 2004;
  
• to develop and support the Internet-based information and communication portal www.touristpool.org, which to be linked with Internet sites of pool's members, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Bulgarian Tourist Chamber and Bulgarian Association of Travel Agencies;
  
• to prepare and issue of printed and digital promotional materials with necessary information for offering of two groups of packages - sport-tourists and tourists packages;
  
• to disseminate promotional materials trough sports federations, the structures of Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Youth and Sports, commercial representations of Bulgaria and through organizations and associations supporting Bulgarian tourist pool;
  
• to assist in establishment of long-term partnerships between tourist companies and sports federations with a view of future international and national sports events.
